Don’t you ever crave giant, chewy cafe-style cookies? I always do! So when my kids asked for some cookies I decided to give these a shot. They’re amazing and hit the spot!

Ingredients (yields about 30 big cookies):

  • 4 C. all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 C. packed brown sugar
  • 1 C. granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 C. unsalted butter (3 sticks), melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 2 Tbsp. vanilla
  • 2 C. semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 C. chopped walnuts
Instructions:
  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
  2. Combine flour, salt, and baking soda in a bowl. Set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine sugars and butter. Mix well. Add in eggs and egg yolks and vanilla. Beat until light and fluffy.
  4. Stir flour mixture into egg mixture just until moistened.
  5. Stir in chocolate chips and walnuts.
  6. Place 1/4 C. -sized cookie dough scoops on the cookie sheet, about 3 inches apart from each other. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes for regular cookie sheets, or 20 minutes for non-stick pans. (I like to take them out before there too golden and not thoroughly firm).
  7. Let cool on baking racks.
  8. Enjoy!!!
