Don’t you ever crave giant, chewy cafe-style cookies? I always do! So when my kids asked for some cookies I decided to give these a shot. They’re amazing and hit the spot!
Ingredients (yields about 30 big cookies):
- 4 C. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 2 C. packed brown sugar
- 1 C. granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 C. unsalted butter (3 sticks), melted
- 2 eggs
- 2 egg yolks
- 2 Tbsp. vanilla
- 2 C. semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 C. chopped walnuts
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
- Combine flour, salt, and baking soda in a bowl. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine sugars and butter. Mix well. Add in eggs and egg yolks and vanilla. Beat until light and fluffy.
- Stir flour mixture into egg mixture just until moistened.
- Stir in chocolate chips and walnuts.
- Place 1/4 C. -sized cookie dough scoops on the cookie sheet, about 3 inches apart from each other. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes for regular cookie sheets, or 20 minutes for non-stick pans. (I like to take them out before there too golden and not thoroughly firm).
- Let cool on baking racks.
- Enjoy!!!
