Resurrection Rolls make a perfect Easter treat! They are warm and sweet and are symbolic of the empty tomb. This is an easy, fun way for you to teach your children about the Resurrection of Jesus Christ on Easter Sunday.
Resurrection Rolls (Easter Rolls)
Ingredients (makes 16 rolls, or halve the recipe for 8 rolls):
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 2 cans (8 oz each) Refrigerated Crescent Rolls
- 16 large marshmallows
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. and grease a muffin pan.
- Mix cinnamon and sugar together in a small bowl.
- Melt butter in another small bowl.
- Roll each marshmallow in the bowl of butter, then the bowl of cinnamon and sugar. Place the dipped marshmallow on a crescent roll and wrap the dough around the marshmallow, pinching the edges together.
- Place in greased muffin pan. Drizzle any leftover melted butter on top, then sprinkle the leftover cinnamon and sugar on top of the butter.
- Bake for about 10 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Place rolls on a plate and let cool about 5 minutes before eating. Be sure to notice how the inside of the rolls are empty once baked!
