Fried Rice Dinner Recipe

My husband loves this fried rice and it’s really easy to make and it’s inexpensive. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • 1 C. white rice
  • 2 C. water
  • 1 Tbsp. Canola oil
  • 1 C. frozen veggies (peas, carrots, green beans, lima beans, corn)
  • 1 egg
  • salt, pepper, and soy sauce to taste
  • optional: shredded chicken, pork, beef, or sausage pieces

Instructions:

  1. Cook rice as directed on the package.
  2. Heat a pan (high heat) and pour the oil in.
  3. Dump the cooked rice and the vegetables into the pan.
  4. Once the vegetables seem to be thawed out, add the egg and mix well.
  5. Cook until the egg particles look done and the rice begins to brown.
  6. Add salt, pepper, and soy sauce for more flavor.

Yields about 4 servings.

This fried rice goes great with mustard chicken!
