Ingredients:
- 1 lb. dry split peas (and however much water the package says to cook with them)
- 4 sliced hot dogs
- 4 sliced carrots
- 1 or 1/2 chopped onion
- 4 chopped potatoes
- Salt to taste
Instructions:
Cook the split peas. Add the bite-sized hot dogs and vegetables. Add salt once all the vegetables are soft enough to eat.
Yields quite a bit. You can freeze the extra for later. Great with bread and butter!
