Baked Rotini and Cheese

Ingredients (about 6 servings):

  • 8 oz dry rotini noodles
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 C. milk
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 tsp. dry, ground mustard
  • 1 tsp. Oregano, crushed
  • 1 1/2 C. cheddar cheese, grated

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Cook pasta according to package. Drain and place pasta in an 8×8 inch baking dish.
  3. In a small saucepan, melt butter on medium/medium-low heat.
  4. Stir in flour.
  5. Stir in milk. Bring to a boil, then simmer a few minutes, stirring frequently.
  6. Remove from heat when the sauce thickens.
  7. Stir in salt, pepper, mustard, and Oregano.
  8. Fold the sauce into the Rotini noodles.
  9. Fold in grated cheese.
  10. Bake for about 20 minutes at 375 degrees F.
