Strawberries with Scone Crumbs Breakfast Recipe

This makes a great breakfast or dessert!

Ingredients:

3 C. flour
½ C. sugar
5 tsps. Baking powder
½ tsp. salt
1/2 C. butter
1 egg (beat with a fork)
1 C. milk
sliced strawberries
milk (to serve with)
optional: cinnamon and white sugar to sprinkle on top

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
Mix dry ingredients in large bowl.
Cut the butter into the dry ingredients.
Mix egg and milk in smaller bowl.
Pour egg and milk mixture into the bowl with the dry ingredients.
Knead with your hands a few times.
Refrigerate the dough for about 1 hour (to make it easier to work with).
Divide dough into 8 or 10 sections, each about 1/2 inch thick, and place on greased cooking sheet (you will probably need to do two batches).
Cook for about 12-14 minutes.
Spray with cooking spray when they come out of the oven and sprinkle sugar and cinnamon on top.
Break the scones into large pieces and serve with sliced strawberries and milk.
