We were pleasantly surprised with how these creamy chicken crescent rolls turned out. The recipe is simple and you can prepare it rather quickly and set the table and make a side salad while they’re in the oven for 25 minutes. I really was doubting whether it was a good idea to use a whole package of cream cheese, but I’m telling you, they were delicious and there is no need to hide the cream cheese flavor with any other seasonings, which I almost tried to do.
Creamy Chicken Crescent Rolls Recipe
Ingredients (serves 4):
- 1 (8 count) package Pillsbury Refrigerated Crescent Rolls
- 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese
- 1/3 cup (about 1 celery rib) celery, chopped
- 1/4 cup onion, chopped
- 1 cup cooked chicken, chopped (I used meat from a Rotisserie chicken)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Soften cream cheese in the microwave.
- Add celery, onion, and chicken to cream cheese and mix.
- Unroll croissants onto a cookie sheet. When removing cresent rolls from package, leave together so that two cresent rolls form a square. This will leave you with 4 square croissants.
- Put 1/4 of the chicken mixture into the center of each square.
- Fold up corners and pinch edges together.
- Bake in preheated oven for 25 minutes.
- Let set 5 minutes. Slice in half vertically and serve warm.
Goes great with apple slices or a side salad.

wow! so good, and so easy to make. Hardest part was remembering to be the crescent rolls. And the kids loved them!
(Also, I added more onions and celery. Still turned out great.)
So glad your family liked them! And it’s always great when you can squeeze in more veggies, right? I’ll have to do that next time. Thanks for your comment!
