Dinner Biscuits Recipe -with Cheese, Garlic, and Oregano

This quick and easy fluffy dinner biscuit recipe without buttermilk will surely impress your family and friends!

Ingredients (makes 12 biscuits):

  • 2 C. all-purpose flour
  • 1 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. dried Oregano, crushed
  • 1/4 C. shortening
  • 1 C. grated cheese (cheddar or Colb
    y Jack works great!)
  • 1 C. milk
Instructions:
  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.
  2. Mix together flour, baking powder, salt, garlic powder, and Oregano.
  3. Cut in shortening until texture is crumbly.
  4. Mix in grated cheese.
  5. Stir in milk, until there is no more loose, dry flour.
  6. Scoop (about 1/3 C. each) dough onto a lightly greased baking tray, creating 12 biscuits.
  7. Bake 10-12 minutes.
